Opening ceremony of SMiC Cup Open Tennis Tournament 2009

At 7h30 am, Sunday, January 4th, 2009, on Tennis Court of Quan Hoa Sports Club, Cau Giay, Hanoi, SMiC open tennis tournament 2009 – the annual sports tournament of SMiC Law Firm – officially opened in the jubilant atmosphere of welcoming new year 2009 and 7 year anniversary of company foundation. Attending the ceremony, there are Mr. Uong Chu Luu – Deputy Chairman of National Assembly, Mr. Giang Son – Deputy Chairman of Office of the President, delegates of Ministry of Justice, Office of the President, leaders of enterprises, agencies around the country. Second-best Nguyen Thuy Van also attended under the role of a MC.

This is the forth time that SMiC Cup Open Tennis Tournament has been organized. The number of sportsmen in this year’s tournament increases to 80 participating in the men’s couple content to compete for champion, second winner and other attractive prizes. Total expenditure for the tournament is up to 200,000,000 dong. Especially, this year tournament is sponsored by 8 companies with total money and number of gifts of up to 70 million dong, in which there are such familiar names as Artex Securities Corporation, Asian Management and Development Institute, Hanoi Notary Office.

The key objective of the Tournament is to encourage the spirit of sports practice and tennis movement in the block of enterprises, agencies and branches in the capital and all the country. Especially, on the occasion of responding to the appeal of Vietnamese Fatherland Front Central Committee about poor-people-fund-raising campaign, at the tournament, SMiC Law Firm organized to collect in order to support poor people. The whole amount will be transferred to the Fund “For poor people” of Vietnamese Fatherland Front Central Committee.

After the oath of the chief-referee of Referee Board of Hanoi Tennis Federation, the first matches of the tournament have started in the ebullient environment with the spirit of exchanges.

SMiC Cup Open Tennis Tournament 2009 closed brightly successfully

After the opening ceremony closed, SMiC Cup Open Tennis Tournament 2009 has started with competition matches happening greatly attractively, ebulliently with high profession quality. Final results are that the champion belongs to the couple of Hanoi 2 Telephone Company: Mr. Pham Hong Hai & Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ngoc; meanwhile, the couple, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tan & Mr. Vu Hong Phuong competed second winner to bring joy of success to Vinh Tuong, Vinh Phuc province.

After 5 hour-ebullient and enthusiastic competition (from 7:300 am to 12: 30 pm), with the competition spirit of exchanges, solidarity and friendship, such many good matches were expressed and contributed to the audiences. Therefore, the forth SMiC Cup Open Tennis Tournament closed finely successfully. This year tournament acknowledged the participation of the sportsmen and agencies, branches, enterprises in the capital and around the country which is more crowded to the previous.

• Second prize (Cup, flag and 5,000,000 dong): Vu Hong Phuong (Vinh Tuong District party committee secretary, Vinh Phuc) - Nguyen Đinh Tan (Vinh Tuong People’s Committee, Vinh Phuc).
